Dr. Starr completed his education and training at some of the finest institutions in the country including Columbia University, The Medical Scientist Training Program of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine (receiving the M.D. and Ph.D. in Neuroscience), Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and The Kresge
Eye Institute. Dr. Starr is one of the only
ophthalmologists in the world to have completed a rigorous
general surgery internship, allowing him to further
enhance his surgical skills. Dr. Starr has practiced in
the area for the past four years and is currently on staff at Hoag Hospital,
Huntington Beach Hospital, and Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center. |

Dr. Starr performs refractive surgery (CK and LASIK), ophthalmic plastic surgery, cataract extraction, glaucoma filtering surgery, pterygium surgery, laser treatment for diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration, as well as a variety of other ophthalmic procedures. |
